My Story
Long ago, when I was a young mom, we lived in a friendly, old neighborhood. There were many generations of living next to each other happily. Then the older folks began to die and the younger families moved. The neighborhood became a center of gang activity.
A stay-at-home mom for over a decade, I knew I that I had to develop some skills and get a job if we were to move our kids to safer places to live. But what kind of job? I needed to find out who I am created to be and learn to dream a dream that fit with the wonderful dream of being a mother.
So I began a journey of self-discovery and prayer. My seeking brought me to the realization that I was called to be a helping professional. God gave me dreams to become a helper, guide and healer: first in counseling, then in coaching, academic advising, and pre-marital counseling.
Through excellent training through Liberty University, I became a Licensed Professional Counselor, later I earned the title of Board Certified Coach (Center for Credentialing and Education), Board Certified Christian Life Coach (International Association of Christian Coaches), and earned certification in SYMBIS Pre-Marital Guidance. I am a member of American Association of Christian Counselors and the National Career Development Association. For over 2 decades, I have been serving my community at Pike Creek Psychological Center and in speaking engagements around the community and at conventions. I also had the blessing of serving as advisor and career/college coach for homeschool high schoolers for eighteen years.
I want to serve YOU as a coach because my greatest passion is to help people to find their life purposes and meanings. It is thrilling for me to walk with people- young and old- to discover new things about themselves, begin to dream big dreams, and then develop the skills they need to fulfil their destinies.
Watching the lights of hope and motivation come on in my clients’ eyes is the reason I get up in the morning. My clients love that I “get them” and help them “get themselves”.
My life outside my work revolves around my family, homeschool friends, church, hiking, birds, and continuously advancing my own education. My 5 kids are grown but we still enjoy each other’s company whenever we can get together.
I am passionate about my work and also about spiritual development- I love to pray and even blog about it occasionally.
On the other hand, I’m not passionate numbers, so don’t ask me to do any math!
You are on a Life Journey, don’t go alone! We’ll “travel” together on this Adventure of Discovery, Dreams, and Development.

Testimonials
Working with Vicki was one of the best things that could have happened to me! I was struggling in many areas both past and present and Vicki helped me to see each situation as it actually was rather than the messy monster I saw from my perspective.
In short Vicki’s coaching has brought me more confidence; at work, in myself and my abilities. Most importantly without Vicki’s coaching I would never have ask out the woman who is now my beautiful wife. I’m so grateful for Vicki’s help and would happily recommend her services to my closest friends and family.

Vicki began coaching me when my world was shattered by life altering circumstances. She provided guidance as I sorted through the ruble and discarded dysfunctional pieces that weighed me down. She gave me support and direction as I struggled to rebuild my life. She continues to encourage me to develop healthier thinking patterns and invites me to recognize God’s hand working even in the midst of the most difficult situations. She is amazingly patient and her wisdom is invaluable in cutting through surface distractions to expose the true underlying issues. I have been truly blessed by Vicki’s insight, perspective and counsel.

Vicki Tillman is a gifted career counselor with a passion for helping adolescents and adults find their futures. She believes God has blessed each of us with unique gifts, abilities and callings. I have seen Vicki work with students, individuals as well as groups. She helps people identify their strengths and passions and view them as possibilities.
Vicki Tillman has helped all 4 of my children discern more about what God has in store for them. Their experiences have ranged from knowing very clearly where they intend to go and how they intend to get there to having absolutely no direction regarding career or future education.
Her personal style is charming, engaging and a wonderful balance of serious without being too serious. Watching Vicki work with my teens and countless other teens and parents has given me the confidence to enthusiastically recommend her to anyone wishing to walk into their future with faith.

I’m grateful for Vicki’s wise and prayerful coaching. She asks pointed questions that have allowed me to see new perspectives and challenged my misconceptions of self with God’s Word. Working with her has equipped me with tools to make healthier choices and to build stronger personal and work-based relationships.

Career Exploration was a tremendously empowering experience for my teens and young adults. Three of my children worked through Vicki Tillman’s Career Exploration Workbook while they were high school students and learned so much about what types of steps they were best suited to take following graduation. My older son had missed out on the course as a teen and went back to use the workbook as a twenty-something when faced with the need for a job change; he was delighted with the direction he found after working through the exercises. I cannot recommend this resource too highly! Every teen and young adult will find greater understanding of their unique gifts and interests and how those qualities can influence career choices for a fulfilling future in the work world.
